Affirmative Action officers, supervisors, operating managers, in-house counsel, employee relations specialists and EEO/HR managers and directors responsible for complying with and enforcing EEO laws in the workplace.
Credit Available:

In response to the growing importance of and frequent changes to Equal Employment Opportunity law, the Equal Employment Opportunity Workshop Series & Certificate Program has been designed to cover every aspect of equal employment opportunity. This program offers an effective overview of many EEO issues that affect businesses today. Some of the topics discussed include: EEO law, ensuring EEO compliance, handling EEO complaints, how to develop an affirmative action plan, harassment, and managing diversity in the workplace. Each workshop is presented by an expert in the field who is aware of the latest court cases.
EEO/HR professionals wishing to learn what is needed to comply with federal, state and local laws on discrimination and those seeking to boost productivity and morale by providing a workplace where employees are treated and promoted fairly and have confidence that their organization is committed to equal employment opportunity.
After completing this program, participants will have the necessary information to work more effectively in the area of EEO. This series of workshops will enable you to: develop procedures to meet EEO guidelines, find out how to prepare for a compliance review and investigation, and review the fundamentals of EEO law and see how they apply to the daily decisions you make regarding hiring, firing, promotions, discipline, testing, and safety, etc. Participants will have the opportunity to evaluate their present programs and receive suggestions on how to make their current system more effective. By interacting and networking with other EEO professionals and discussing issues of concern, you will acquire skills to enhance your personal and professional career goals.
